ULTIMATE MUSIC FESTIVAL PACKING GUIDE

Coachella has officially opened up the doors to the 2017  music festival season. From Burning Man to Bonnaroo, it’s time to start planning all the gritty details of who what when where and how. To help alleviate the stress here is my ULTIMATE MUSIC FESTIVAL PACKING GUIDE.

 

FROM CAMPING TO GLAMPING

Camping site necessities

2 Tents – 1 as the cozy sleeping area 1 for suitcases wardrobe shoes mirror essentially                        the changing area/closet. Better purchase a tent with a walk in but those can                        cost quite a bit.

Tarp- You’ll want to create an outdoor roof covered area, ideally you would want to                      purchase a screen house. The perfect area to set up the beer pong table and your                chairs, coolers all that fun stuff

Sleeping bags – self explanatory

Blankets- BLANKETS GALORE! Essential for the coziest tent + Blankets to sit on                                     outside/tan etc.

Pillows- PILLOWS GALORE! It’s all about comfort !

Air mattress- pump + batteries for pump + duct tape (for any patch ups that may need to                            be repaired)

Lantern Lamps- So these are essential you can purchase them at dollarama they run on                                 batteries. You hook them up to the top of your tent.. voila your own                                         personal lamp !

BATTERIES!!!

ZIP TIES!!- that shit holds everything together

Hammer/screwdriver/pocket knife – A mini tool box because you never know what will                                                                       break..trust me..

Car jumper cables- Because you’ll kill your car battery at some point..

Kleenex

Paper towels

Toilet Paper

Febreeze -for the tent, shoes.. just life  in general…

Lysol/disinfecting spray- for tables, tents etc.

Big jug of water

Chairs

Coolers (it’s a good idea to pack a large for drinks and to use as a table and a smaller one for food

Stereo or music player (also include EXTRA BATTERIES, CD’s etc.)

Car inverter for electronics

GIANT BALLON or Flag (to mark your campsite so you can find it easily)

BEER PONG FOLD OUT TABLE

Ash Trays

Garbage Bags

Umbrellas- TRUST ME HEAT STROKE IS NOT CUTE & SHADE IS A FOREIGN CONCEPT

DISH SOAP

Hand sanitizer

Pots, pans, pot holders, spatulas, silverware, plates, napkins

Straws

Ice (fit as much as you can into the coolers, making sure to keep half a bag in the plastic to use for drinks.  Ice will be sold on the festival grounds but it will be twice as expensive)

Condiments (butter, ketchup, mustard, etc.)

Shot glasses

Coffee or instant hot chocolate and cider, and don’t forget cream and sugar

Food- fruit, veggies, granola bars, chips, canned soups, hamburgers, hotdogs etc. (pack things that are easy to prepare with limited supplies

Solar/portable shower

Face wipes

Baby wipes (there are not always convenient showers available so if you refill jugs of water you can use these to brush your teeth and hair.  Baby wipes can help you stay clean throughout the day)

Toothpaste/toothbrush mouthwash (this is convenient when you are getting ready to go to sleep and you’re too wasted to deal with toothbrushes and water)

First aid kit (Band-Aids, Neosporin, etc.)

ADVIL/TYLENOL GALORE

Any medications you are taking (birth control, anti-anxiety pills, motion sickness meds, etc.)

Cold medicine

Vitamins

Cotton swabs

Sunscreen

Lotion

Razors or shaving kit

Condoms (If you don’t mind dirty festival tent sex)

Hair brush, clips, ties, bobby pins, headbands

HAIR STRAIGHTNER & BLOW DRYER – there are outlets in the bathrooms + you’ll always look cute

TOWELS – shower towels, hand towels, face towels…just bring a bunch trust me

Shoes – flipflops, cute sandals, boots to match the outfits you’ve spent weeks planning, running shoes

Rain Boots

Socks- you can never have too many socks

Undies- Like socks you can never have too many undies

Skirts/shorts

Jeans

Tshirts/crop tops/long sleeve shirt

Sweater/flowy cardis

Coat- bc fuck who knows with the weather anymore..raincoat to be prepared

BATHING SUIT- Bc you will get drunk and play slip and slide flip cup..

Pjs/lounge wear – realistically you’ll fall asleep in whatever

SWEATS AND CUTE NIGHT CAMP WEAR

Bandanas (these can be wildly handy for many reasons as well as for fashion)

Hats- bc no outfit is complete without a floppy

Sunglasses

Belts

Jewelry

Back packs/side bags- to carry your things around ID etc.

Festival tatts- but realistically you’ll already be tatted and ready to go

MIRROR FOR YOUR WARDROBE TENT!! BUY A CHEAP ONE AT DOLLARAM LIKE $2 BUT WILL BE THE BEST INVESTMENT bc the washrooms take forever…
